Winter Visitors are visiting as Normal

Your Safety in  The Los Algodones B.C., Mexico is Secured.
Adequate Police and Military Presence. Not to mention Private Security Personnel supplied by Business Owners, with Customs and Immigration Officers on the job. I did see State, Mexicali valley officers, those assigned to Los Alogones and Federal Security personnel.
I have traveled to all corners of the town, at the time and at present,  including the location in question, with no fear. I  and the families around me, Are doing things as normal on the streets, at the park at night fall, the store, ice cream locations with the Children.
News reports of an single incident Last month is true, but No Winter visitors were injured and it is believed none were in danger in any way. 
The Businesses are operating as normal. Hope to see you soon.
