Customs and
Border Protection officials want to remind those of you traveling across the
border about several Day of the Dead plant decorations that will not be allowed
into the country.
Many people
celebrate Dia de Los Muertos—or Day of the Dead—by decorating altars with
Murraya or orange jasmine, to commemorate the lives of those who have died.
However,
agents say Murraya is a host plant for insects that can carry diseases so it is
banned from coming into the United
States.
