Paul McCartney to Play Free Concert in Mexico City Next Week
Paul McCartney has added a third concert to his brief tour of Mexico, and the show will give lucky fans the chance to see the Beatles legend perform for free
in the country's capital. McCartney and his band will descend on the
Zacalo, Mexico City's historic main plaza, for the special event.
"Thanks to the mayor and the people of Mexico for making this
beautiful site available for our show," McCartney said in a statement.
"We're really excited to play this one-off event. We're ready to
rock!"
The rock star will kick off his Mexican trek this Saturday, Cinco de
Mayo, in Guadalajara. He also has another Mexico City concert
scheduled to take place May 8 at Azteca Stadium.
In other news, a vintage video for the Paul and Linda McCartney
tune "Heart of the Country," featuring a remastered audio soundtrack
taken from the upcoming deluxe reissue of the couple's 1971 Ram album, has debuted online. The clip includes footage of Paul and his late wife riding horses and frolicking on a beach.
