	Inaugural Date Festival-Yuma's First Date	Saturday, November 17th 8:00 AM
	We will have three blocks closed on Yuma Main St. One block to showcase machinery that is used only on dates. The other two blocks will be for the date palms and vendors showcasing dates and giving out information. And there will be date demonstrations during the day. In the Yuma Fine Arts gallery there will be an art display and small antiques pertaining to the history of our date agriculture here in Yuma. There will be a speaker scheduled in the Historical Yuma Theatre and a short film in the afternoon. There will also be a free tour to one of the date farms. Call for further information. Perlita Wicks 928-373-5028 Follow Us on Facebook  November 16-18, 2012  Schedule of Events  Photos - 2012 Balloonists and Balloons  Maps to CRC Venues  The Colorado River Crossing Hot Air Balloon Festival - presented by the Caballeros de Yuma and sponsored by Barney's Convenience Stores  - is one of Yuma, AZ's premier annual events. The  festival attracts some of the most colorful and unique balloons from the West and Southwest. Staged over three days in November, with mass ascensions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, the festival uses the Colorado River and the Sonoran Desert as its backdrop. The highlight is its Barney's Convenience Stores Desert Balloon Glow that takes place on Saturday night at Yuma's Desert Sun Baseball Stadium where tethered balloons fill the baseball field and with their burners firing at full blast, the balloons to glow brightly in the dark desert sky, The entire pageant is set to music.  Prior to the glow there is a tissue balloon launch featuring miniature balloon constructed by local Yuma area students
