JOSHUA TREE, Calif. (AP) - The parents of a Southern California
7-year-old are in jail after their daughter tested positive for
methamphetamines.
San Bernardino County sheriff's investigators say
the Joshua Tree couple brought the girl to the Hi-Desert Medical Center
emergency room late Thursday because the girl was acting strangely.
KCDZ radio says tests showed the girl was under the
influence of methamphetamines. The girl remains in the hospital's
intensive care unit.
Deputies arrested Johnnie Koranda and Michelle
Beamer on Friday and they were booked for investigation of felony child
abuse. They are being held with bail set at $100,000 each.
