Former Quechan Fish and Game Warden

Former Quechan Fish and Game Warden Andrew Lawrence Paddock is back behind bars, just 2 days after being released from jail, for violating the terms of his probation.

Imperial County Sheriff Deputies say Paddock attempted to make contact with a victim a allegedly threatened at the Quechan Tribal Office in Winterhaven on Wednesday. They say Paddock was ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim. ICSO says Quechan Tribal Office officials contacted them after the victim told them he came to the office.

Sheriff Deputies arrested Paddock Thursday morning near his home on Arnold Rd. in Winterhaven on a violation of probation. Paddock was then booked into the Imperial County Jail. ICSO says Paddock told them his reasoning for going to the office was to pick up belongings from his previous employer.

In September, Paddock was arrested for making alleged threats at an employee at the Quechan Tribal Office in Winterhaven. Sheriff Deputies later found 26 dozen illegal weapons in his work locker and at his residence.

Last month, Paddock plead guilty to one count of possession of a magazine capacity. He was facing more than 26 counts including threats and possession of illegal weapons but 25 of them were dismissed as part of his plea agreement.

Paddock was sentenced to 3 years probation on Tuesday. He was released from jail after serving 81 days. The Imperial County District Attorney's Office says this sentence was standard considering Paddock didn't have any prior criminal history.
