SAN LUIS, Ariz. - Free parking might be a thing of the past in San Luis.
The San Luis City Council voted earlier this year to place parking meters in the downtown area.
About 100 meters are expected to be installed by December. They will be placed in the commercial district in downtown.
City officials say it will help business owners provide parking for their customers. It is common for people to park in the city the entire day and walk around.
City officials have not decided how much each public meters will cost.
