Insight Academy of Arizona, a state-approved charter sister
school of Arizona Virtual Academy, serves middle- and high-school
students, especially those who are behind in credits or struggling to
keep up in school. Students use the Aventa Learning by K¹² curriculum,
which engages students with interactive and multimedia elements, and
includes extensive Foundations and Credit Recovery courses to help
struggling students get—and stay—on track for graduation.
Insight Academy of Arizona combines state-of-the-art online teaching techniques with support from experienced, Arizona-certified teachers to create an environment where students can feel engaged, empowered, and challenged.
Students in high school work on a block schedule—four 9-week sessions containing 2–3 courses per session—so they can concentrate on fewer courses at a time. In middle school, students work on a traditional 18-week semester, with subject-specific teachers who help to identify strengths and areas of opportunity. The Insight Academy of Arizona approach allows students to enjoy a more individualized educational experience.
Because Insight Academy of Arizona is part of the Arizona public school system, all of this is available to students in grades 7–12 tuition-free!

- Our coursework and assignments leverage the online learning environment, incorporating audio, video, live chat, and group interactions to make learning interactive, interesting, effective, and fun! Our Individualized Assignment option gives students flexibility and different ways to demonstrate mastery of a subject.
- Our program is designed around each student’s goals, needs, and learning style.
- Our students, learning coaches, and parents have access to teachers and Homeroom Advisors so everyone can see progress—together!
- Our interactive virtual classroom sessions include one-to-one student-teacher meetings, live instructional sessions, and more.
- Our students have ongoing access to teachers and Student Advisors for one-to-one connections. On-demand academic tutoring is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for those students who may need a little extra help when a teacher is not available.
- Our program helps students map out career and higher education goals by offering college and career planning tools.
