MPERIAL VALLEY, CA- More than a ton of food has been donated by Border Patrol to benefit local food banks.The Imperial Valley Border Patrol stations took part in a federal food drive throughout the month of June. They were able to collect 1,495
pounds of non-perishable food for the Imperial Valley Food Bank. The
Indio Station donated 567 pounds to the food in need of distribution
food bank located in Indio, California. The food drive was part of the 2012 Customs and Border Protection's "Feds Feed Families" Campaign. They will also hold similar food drives this month and next.
