Dunes.


The Algodones Dunes is a large sand dune field located in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of California, near the border with Arizona and the Mexican state of Baja California. The field is approximately 72 kilometers long by 10 kilometers wide (45 miles by 6 miles) and extends along a northwest-southeast line that correlates to the prevailing northerly and westerly wind directions.

Morelos Dam.


After a 1944 United States Mexico Treaty the Morelos Dam was built in 1950 across the Colorado River. It is located about 1 mile (1.6 km) below the junction of the California border and the Colorado River between the town of Los Algodones, Baja California, in northwestern Mexico and Yuma County, Arizona in the southwestern United States. The eastern half the dam lies inside United States territory; but Mexico is responsible for all maintenance.

Lazaro Cardenas Dunes.


As is tradition, every weekend  people like to gather in Ejido Lazaro Cardenas (dunes near Los Algodones) to walk and play in their sand buggies vehicles.  Whole families gather with their pick ups, tricycles, motorcycles, tube cars and other vehicles to climb the hills and rejoice practice their driving skills. Drag Races are made and different types of stunts for  expert drivers, it must be very tusk to drive in such terrain Note the Hill Climb.
